Here's the story:
Residents in a Philadelphia neighborhood are outraged after a cop with a surly reputation was video taped beating a man on the street in front a Chinese restaurant.




According to published reports, one day after a video surfaced of a police officer severely attacking a West Philadelphia man, many residents in the area are stating that the cop has been terrorizing the community for a while.



"He's a nasty cop," neighbor Doris Ginor told NBC News. "He harasses everybody."



The disturbing video shows the stocky unidentified officer, who the locals have dubbed “Mickey Mouse”, wailing on Askira Sabur after he refused to leave the restaurant due to waiting on his order.



After Sabur told the cop that he was waiting for food, he was instructed to go inside, local business owner Jamil Stroman told NBC.



According to witnesses, Sabur told the officer that it was too hot inside and that he had to tend to his bike.



The officer then asked Sabur for identification, and as he reached into his back pocket, the cop grabbed him from behind and the two fell to the ground.



"It could have been anybody," a Marine veteran who posted his cell-phone footage on YouTube said in the interview. "I'm seeing the blood shooting from his head. The blood is all over them and they kept hitting this guy."



The now infamous video begins with Sabur and the officer on the ground and shows the cop's partner rushing over to handcuff Sabur.



The first cop gets up and strikes Sabur with his baton several times over the next few minutes.



The incident left Sabur was left with a fractured left arm, a gash at the back of his head and a sore back.



Sabur's attorney states that Sabur faces charges including aggravated assault, resisting arrest and also robbery, reportedly because of the accusation that Sabur tried to take the officer's gun.



"It's ridiculous, they're throwing anything at the wall to try and justify it.” Hughes said. “Nothing can justify that. He was pushed on top of the officer and he was sandwiched between them while he was hit with a metal rod."



The unidentified officer who struck Sabur is still on active duty, but according to police Internal Affairs is investigating the incident.



"He didn't deserve this," Sabur's wife, Akisha Holland said. “[Sabur] is the nicest man I have ever met and I fear for the lives of some of our black men, especially my husband.”
